Job Description

The Operations Manager is an important part of this large-scale arable crop and alternative enterprise business.

Must be looking for a long-term, secure role.

Working in a team of 2 full time with casuals employed as required. You will be experienced and highly skilled and require limited supervision once a pre-set plan is in place.

Key Requirements

  • Fully operational and hands-on, ensuring we maintain standards and meet times scales.
  • Operating machinery and supervising others.
  • Assisting with the smooth running and efficiency of all arable operations.
  • Grain store management, including the drying and monitoring of grain, record keeping and all aspects of compliance.
  • Out-loading of grain.
  • Administration of the farm’s health and safety policy.
  • Support the farm team to complete daily tasks when the Farm Manager is away from the farm.
  • Maintaining both our own and our client’s high standards of upkeep throughout the Estates we run.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE:

  • Establishment & upkeep of mid-tier stewardship areas.
  • General maintenance & workshop tasks.
  • Assisting in implementing requirements under the farm’s health and safety policy.

SKILLS:

  • Good team player.
  • Organised.
  • Excellent communicator.
  • Mechanical background with experience of repairs, maintenance, and fabrication.
  • Experience of operating large-scale machinery.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • A current driving licence.
  • Self-motivation, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Good computer literacy skills.

Training
